It depends strictly on what you're talking about and where in the sentence you want to say "it". Lo, la, le, es, eso, are all used for "it". It seems complicated, but Spanish makes everything masculine or feminine, therefore it developed "its" that matched the feminine or masculine references. "Es" literally means "it is". "Es rojo" for example means "It's red."

"It" can be a few different words, depending on the context. This will probably be one of the first things you will learn in your class, so just wait a little bit and you'll discover the answer.

As for Wow, people say many different things. Again, you'll learn how to do this later. Don't worry about pushing it right now... just get exposure to Spanish and try to understand, and pretty soon you'll find that you understand more than you did.

It is ugly = es feo

give it to your mother = dáselo a tu mamá (madre)

don´t say it = no digas eso

as you can see in the first sentence you don´t even use it, in the second you join it to the verb and in the third case it would mean = eso

wow has no translation, would remain as wow.

hope this helps.

It=lo, la

Use "lo" in front of the conjugated verb and connected at the end of unconjugated verb. You can you use "lo" or "la" for it, because it depends on the gender of the object (masculine or feminine).

Ex: ¿Lo sabes? - Do you know it?
No quiero hacerlo. ("lo" refers to "EL trabajo", the work)
No quiero comerla. ("la" refers to "LA comida", the food)

If there is a conjugated and an unconjugated verb together it can also go before the conjugated verb. Take your pick!

Ex: No la necesitas saber- You don't need to know it ("la" refers to "LA información)
Ex: Lo quiero comer ahora - I want to eat it now ("lo" refers to "EL burrito")

Wow= Wow, Guau (sounds like a "wow" that begins with "g")
