Is the reason the world is so messed up because men have the idea that they should be the head of the family, the nation, etc.? Don’t they know that they were only made for one thing? (well, maybe to take out the garbage too.) It is all they can think about, so how can they have any time to do anything else in a competent manner? They should just keep their place and let women run things.

Actually the Bible only has two places where the men are called to be in the role of headship over women. They are as the spiritual leader of the household and the second is as the spiritual leader of the church. Other than that all bets are off. Really though in relationships between men and women, from a Christian point of view we are called to submit to each other. For the men, they are supposed to treat their wives like Christ did for the church which means be willing to die to protect them. But yes there is a lot of Bible misinterpretation out there.

I think that women and men should be equal in all manners. The truth is though that women do run the world...lets face it, behind every successful man is a women pulling the strings!

Since Biblically women were in charge of everything. I can only think of a few instances where women are even mentioned in the Bible. I am not saying that this means that men should be in charge, but only that the Bible does not support your beliefs. What you are purporting in reverse discrimination, which is no less hurtful or discriminatory.

I don't think the world is in a mess for those reasons. Yes the Bible gets misunderstood. Men read in the Bible that they are to be head of household but they forget the other part where it says to love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave His life for it.
That's powerful love. That's a love I will follow.

The bible does say that women should submit to their husbands. This does not mean that women should submit to all men. Only to their loving husband. This is absolutely necessary if you want your marriage to succeed. When women don't submit then the divorce rate goes up and you end up with 40% of all children being raised by one parent. These children are not being well raised and THAT is why we are in such a mess!

as much as i think that women are really the rulers of the world, lol, the bible says that the man should be the head of the household, and the woman should be faithful unto him.
