Most of my friends and family act really wierd about the fact that my boyfriend is 32.

My mom is totally against this, but I don't understand why because her and my father were 10 years apart, and she was married at 21.

Does anyone else think this is to much of an age gap?

Not at all. Age is only a measurement of time. I am 32 and my wife is 24. We have a great relationship.

do what you feel is right!

There's nothing wrong with it. You are both legal and it's not like your 18. Parents often view things conservatively.

I'm 30 and my boyfriend is 24, not quite as big a gap, but I used to worry and I found that most people didn't have a problem at all. Those that did, I told them to get over it or I would find new friends or wouldn't be seeing them. My boyfriends friends all thought I looked 21 and then when they found out I was 30, they acted weird, but they eventually forgot.

I think that as long as the two that are involved in the relationship don't have a problem with the age difference and are happy, the age difference should not be a problem. After all this may be true love. I have been married for seven years and my husband and I have been together for eleven when we started dating I had just turned seventeen and he was almost 24. We are great together.

I don't see any problem with the age difference. Guys rarely act more mature than women anyway!! Of course, I'm 40 and have dated a guy as young as 24 so I just don't see a problem. You're both adults.

But I always told her as I will tell you also go with what your heart feels maybe try getting together with your mother & find out why shes so against it but as long as your happy she should be happy. Well good luck on your decision.

there is nothing wrong with dating an older guy and 32 isnt even that old. your family should be happy because most people know it takes men longer to mature than women.

nope, as long as you love one another i don't think there is something wrong with that, a lot of people got involved with people a lot older than ten years old, maybe the reason for their disapproval is about something else not the age differences. find out and clear the matter with them.
