just swaying back and forth being all happy do da with the savior doesn't excite me in the least. it reminds me of showing up to a family reunion and trying to annoy do-gooder relatives that want to explain how great god is to everyone and what i need to do to improve my life, which is usually showing up for church on sundays and singing praise....*shudders*....that scares me and I sneak away from their attempts to lure me into ignorant boredom. I would rather do something exciting after I die, rather than become a slave to some savior that uses blind faith instead of logic to 'force' decisions rather than freely choose them.

I don't want to go there, I'd rather have fun, I hate praising and I hate singing praises even more, it makes me laugh, it's hilarious, it doesn't make sense, it's funny

We don't know what Heaven will be like, but if God says it will be great, then it will be.

Hollywood and most people have no idea what being a christian is all about.
I was not raised christian. Was a drunkard, you name it I did it.
That life was empty. A man, a drink, a joint nothing filled that emptiness but Jesus the man, the God.
I've laughed more, many Christians are funny, we have something to be happy about. I've had more fun since, life's worries are much smaller now. It is SO interesting and not boring at all! To learn about the amazing bible is awe inspiring.
In heaven there will be work to do, interesting work. Think of what all you could learn. If heaven is beautiful, even more beautiful than earth how wonderful does that sound? Have been to Hawaii or the Caribbean? Slums compared to heaven.
If we have no earthly body then no more sickness. Is it possible we will fly? I don't know.
Many think Hell will be one big party.. It won't. It is a place where God isn't. Think of everything that God is, hope, love, light, compassion, beauty ect ect. These are the things that will be absent in hell.
Now decide. If you don't decide you have decided.

The ideas of 'excitement', 'happiness' and such emotional experiences live in the BODY and are made possible by their opposite.
The Christian idea of a 'heaven' with the 'savior' comes from a hope to escape pain/discomfort/fear etc., - the negative emotions, that are experienced during a human life.
Do you actually believe that there will be a 'singing of hymns' once there is no body with a mouth and voice box? Do you think you can roller-skate or scuba dive or race cars when there is no body to do that with?
Any illusion of any activity that requires mortal body parts is just that: an illusion, a phantasy, an imagined escape from whatever is perceived as pain in 'this life'.
I was out of my body after a near-fatal auto accident. There are no emotions such as the ones we know in the body. There WAS a sort of joy and universal love and an absolute clarity: The Spirit that I AM could go back and empower the body to live again or I could 'go on' - either would be OK. Obviously, I went back.
Here's a funny one for you: Little Fly to Dad Fly: "Dad, is it true that the streets of heaven are paved with sh*t?"
Heaven is supposed to contain all the things we cannot obtain in our mortal bodies yet desire, and the absence of negative emotions we are burdened with in our mortal bodies and can't get rid of.
However, since there is no mortal body in a heaven, there's nothing to scare you - nor is there anything really to look forward to.
Live your life with passion, kindness and joy and try to be patient with people who hold onto illusions.

Being completely happy forever is inconceivable in this state of mind. I certainly couldn't stand it, as I am, and I don't really want to change. I think what heaven as represented in the bible is the heaven as the humans who wrote the bible see it. Think about it for a minute. They lived a long time ago, so their idea of paradise is different from ours. I think that when you die, you go where you think you're gonna go. It doesn't make sense to me about why I would love being happy forever, because for that would get boring, and then I would be unhappy. It is a vicious cycle. Heaven is just a resting place where you decide what you're gonna do next.

Heaven is alot like earth only better. Are you bored here? You'll be too busy in heaven to be bored. You know how some people live in mansons and have servants? You'll be the servant. Hey, but you'll be happy, because it ain't hell. You could've ended up in outer darkness which is too bad for even God to discuss with us. God is a just God, we all will get exactly what we deserve.

Seems to me you go to bask in the glory of some god just so he can know how wonderful he is for eternity. Thats not a god I'd want to worship. Talk about selfish.

It's only natural that you would feel that we b/c we still carry our carnal mind while on earth. When we (if we) go to heaven, our carnal minds will be no more and we will be spirit beings. Whatever the explanation to heaven is... it's irrelevant b/c you don't seem to care so what good is it to tell you. Correction: we are not forced to do anything, God promotes free will and that's why He gave us one.

This is because we have finite minds and cannot begin to imagine the joys of Heaven, Jesus said this` No eye has seen no ear has heard nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him`, now tell me does this sound boring?

Try the Muslim heaven for martyrs. You get a loadfull of virgins for your distraction , or if you are a virgin you get to distract others. Time will go faster like that probably.

It will be about as boring as spending time on top of a mountain - no two days will be the same, much less two minutes
*sigh*
to personally serve the King of Kings - will never be boring
*sigh*
scary is spending eternity away from His presence - weeping and gnashing of teeth - does not bode well
*********
but that the world, through Him (Jesus) might be saved.........

Maybe you have nothing to worry about then. Heaven is so great we can not comprehend it. The world in which we live can not compare therfore we have nothing to compare it to. I trust God and look forward to his kingdom.
