Why does beer overflow like a volcano when you tap the top of one beer bottle with another?

It is quite amazing........and equally annoying.

hummm...like a volcano...hot lava and all...maybe because you turned one bottle upside down and then inadvertently shook both while struggling to open the first. Get a bottle opener.
