cos father knows that you will be influenced by your new boy friend to have pre-marital sex. your father would not like if your boy friend leaves you after one night pleasure.
If the same boy is known to you through your father then you would not have have any problems.

Let us admit that fathers are very protective about the daughters and it is natural if your father cares. That is the basic reason that the fathers get 'mad' on their daughters having boyfriends.
The fact is that the world is opening up. Though I am not aware of your age, nationality, community, religion or such other things that matter in the way we live and lead our lives, I am sure that your father is woried about the relationship and he does not want you to experience something nasty. After all, he is experienced and much ore wise than you are.
If your relationship is based on commitment and you two (you & the bf) are sincere and your society approves of having boyfriends at your age & situation, you shall have to convince your father that there was no hanky panky in the relationship and to confirm that you might even have to let your father meet your bf. I hope you understand that your father loves you...

My theory: Unconsciously, the father is annoyed that he is no longer the most important male in his daughter's life. That's why he becomes so much more protective of her. He tries to put up the façade that he's just worried about her getting mixed up by the wrong kind of guy, but you really have to go deep to find out that there's more at work than that.

He is very protective of you and shows his anger and disapproval for this relationship if you are not 25 then to him it is all wrong going no where and distractions from carrier or studies or both. May need to cool it on touching and other things also.

yes sure they do and they have the right to because he is the one who always thinks of your better and good .he always want's to protect you from the cruel world he knows which we don't understand because of the generation gap . and also to secure there family values .
