i always get my annual cold sore. but this one is coming at a very bad time. i got big christmas party coming up this weekend and another one on saturday. is there any way to keep it from lasting so long and if no is there any way of making it not be so obviouse?

Abreva is extremely effective. I've used it when I've had a really, really bad cold sore, and it helped it go away twice as fast as normal. Good luck!

Use Abreva. It works in a couple days if applied liberally. Strategic makeup and darker lipsticks can help hide it if it's still there by the weekend.

I 've found since I 've added the b-complex vitamins to my diet ,the cold sores are gone,keep it dry,pat it with alcohol every 1/2 hour,many remedies I know everyone has something that works for them .for me this did.and pat it dry add a little non oily foundation {little}powder to mask it ..anbesol can take away the pain.They are awful aren't they?

It's going to go through about five stages of healing, there's nothing that's going to change it so, be patient. Keep something like Carmex on it to sooth it, don't chew on it let it heal.

abreva or blistex the red and white box. they are both good. took my fiance's away in about 4 days.
