I'm in a foul and sad mood tonight and I'm going to drink a bottle of wine. Should I drink Shriaz or Merlot? I'm out of Pinot Noir. Should I pop a Xanax as well or do you think the wine will do me up nicely on its own?

I'd try the wine before popping the xanax. I'm a fan of shiraz so go for that - and I'd drink the whole thing if I were you!

Shiraz would be my choice. I only have a malbec and a chianti and I was debating heading out for a shiraz. I think you can save the Xanax for another day. The wine will be enough on its own.

Italian Merlot with grapes grown in Southern Italy. Superb! I am just begiining to appreciate the virtues of a good red wine.
Third word wines are good but they do not compare with good Italian wines.

Merlot a bit dull i would go for Shiraz if you can,t be bothered popping out .
if you go out go for cava cheap champagne bubbles always make me feel better.

Shiraz, but if it were me I'd buy a Temprinillo, it's light for a red and I don't suffer the morning after.
