God doesn't hate me, and I'm a sinner...but He insists that I turn away from my sin and live in a way that honors Him. If I have a problem getting past the sin in my life, He is there to help me.
How can homosexuals say you have no choice? Does a kleptomaniac have a choice whether to steal or not? Should we punish him if he does? What about a pathological liar?
Is pedophilia a sexual orientation? Can pedophiles help it? Are they born that way? Should God accept them?

God doesn't hate anyone...but that doesn't mean anyone can stroll up into His mansion and put their feet up on His golden coffee table and say "Sorry, God, but You'll just have to accept me the way I am...I don't feel like changing for You..."

When the Holy Spirit lives in your heart, your desires change. Sin no longer has the luster it once had. Yes, we are human, and we do fail. But as I grow in my walk with the Lord, the things that used to trip me up seem silly and frivolous. I then find something else that will trip me, but God is always there to help me learn my new lesson and help me grow again.

How can one compare homosexuality to pedophilia. One is a sexual orientation involving consenting adults, while the other is a severe psychological disorder, which often causes one to prey upon people who are incapable of defending/protecting themselves.

I guess it's all the same to you, isn't it? Sin is sin. How about folly? The bible goes into that quite a bit (check the book of Proverbs). Claiming that the acts of concenting adults are the same as acts of sexual predators is quite foolish, therefore folly.

well, i fail to see why gay folks would be disallowed entrance into Heaven when Satan can stroll in as he pleases, perhaps even putting his cloven hoofs up on God's golden coffee table while he and God plot out their next "test human faith" experiment.

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

That's nice, but you can't speak for God. Jesus died on the cross for EVERYONE, he didn't pick and choose. God tells you not to judge others but you're doing just that. It's not so hard to believe in a loving God who accepts all of His children.

lets not forget the gossips which attend church regularly and boss your preacher around. Is your preacher picked in accordance with the directions outlined in Tim, and is he subject to accountabilityas are the flock. Is there a board of merchants running your church or do the teachers play that role. If your gonna do it right then your leadership needs to be right as well otherwise key scriptures get ignored. I'm in favor of your interpretations so far and hope you go all the way
God bless u

Exactly. Making the choice to give up your lifestyle and repenting and following God is the way to be. Sure, we all make mistakes. But God is always there when we cry out to Him.
