I mean, isn't it painful and then you have to put up with little kids crying and yelling, and throwing stuff. Isn't it a lot of stress not worth dealing with?

Giving birth can be an amazing experience, intense but not necessarily painful. As your child grows, you learn not only about them, but about yourself. You develop a bond that lasts a lifetime, and it is very satisfying. Yes, I have my great & loving husband, my friends and other family, but my kids are the best part of my life. They are absolutely worth it. Mine are teenagers now and it only keeps getting better.
But if you are talking about having a child who will live in day care until he's school-aged and then be raised by the public school system...forget it. Get a puppy.

I don't want kids, but that doesn't mean that I wonder why other people do. It has to be done and some people have the patience and the heart to give birth and to stick by their children no matter what. It's a bond that is so incredible to even conceive of unless you have children. I'm going to miss out on that, most likely, but that's okay with me. Or maybe I'll change my mind and adopt later on, one never knows. You might even change your mind as you get older. Why question people's choices? We're all different.

a child is Gods blessing...a way for us, our 'species' to continue to live...if we didnt have children, then we would go 'extinct'
Yes, painful it is, but worth every minute afterwards. Children, raised right, will not backtalk, smart off, etc. Crying is part of being a kid; finding out what hurts, what doesnt, etc. As an adult and a parent, you're there to help the child grow and learn.

Some people should NOT have children and should not be allowed to breed.

If you feel that way it would be in your best intrest to not have children. They are alot of stress but most definetly worth it! The joy a child can bring into your life is such a blessing!
Some people do not see it that way. If you don't then don't even consider it!

It's not right for everyone. Especially if you are extremely selfish. However it can totally change your life.
Before my son was born I had a pretty negative outlook on the world. My son opened me up to the more inspiring aspects of humanity and made life seem much more meaning full.

I guess if you have children and don't teach them right from wrong and how to behave properly, thats what you would be dealing with. For Me, the love I have for my children is the most powerful of all loves. To know in your heart and soul, that you would do anything to help them and protect them from anything, theres just nothing like it. Until you have loved like that, its hard to understand or imagine. The stress factor never goes away, I don't care how old my children are, you still worry, thats your job as their parent. The thing I am most proud of, is my children. They are all responsible, productive, civic minded members of society. I am blessed, I hope you will be also someday.

Well if thats how you feel then maybe you shouldn't have any kids. But the bright side of having kids is, the love, giving a life, seeing them laugh, seeing them smile, feeling their hugs.....and having that unconditional love is just a great feeling.

Its to fill a void in either the mother the father or both's lives to feel like they made a difference so they have a kid to satisfy their own needs. Sometimes its due to an accident or they really didn't care about the pain just the memories to have when they get old and retire.

the actual pain of childbirth is incomparable to any other pain a woman could feel, however, once you see those big, beautiful eyes staring up at you, for the very first time, you're in love. the only joy that can exceed that is seeing your first grandchild, and holding her or him, and looking into their faces with that same look of wonder and hope, and nothing else in the world matters after that, just making sure those eyes always look at you with the same wonder and trust and hope, and best of all....LOVE!!!
