okay, problems with "father in law"?

my girls dad is not too keen on me...perhaps it was because I told him "I understand that no man likes the idea of some guy pounding his daughter, but if someone is going to it may as well be me." He said that if I went near her again he would tell my parole officer that I was doing things that I was not...well I recorded our conversation and I want to have him arrested and tossed in prison for blackmail and extortion but I really like my girl and I have a feeling that if her dad has to do 10-15 because of me that might hurt the relationship...the funny thing was that it was a joke, and she is 26 years old...oh well what should I do?

You can use the tape as prove to your parole officer and report the dad directly to the parole officer without having to make the charges. That way you're parole officer is less likely to listen to the dad. But seriously, it was probably stupid to say that unless you plan to marry this girl.

dude you don't tell a girls dad that what's wrong with you?? My dad would hate you too if you told him that. Although it is your girls decision to make and it would be all up to her. If you recorded your conversation with her father then when he does catch you with his daughter and says something to your parole officer use the tape. Although legally it may not hold up cause you actually have to tell that person that you are recording them now for it to be able to be used.
