I recently purchased a TV booster in order to enhance the signal reception of the local TV channel. After usiung it dor two months I switched it on the other day and it has refused to work. Switching on the booster only makes the picture worse, and I have tried to use the TV without the booster but I see no improvement. I know the problem might also be that I have a coaxial cable with interruptions but is my booster spoilt or not? I checked the power supply and there seems to be no problem.

It sounds to me like either your booster (amplifier) has gone out or one of your cable connectors may be loose. You mentioned coax cables with interruption, are you saying you have spliced (connected two) cables together via connectors? If you have used splitter/combiners to accomplish this, you are inserting loss for every splitter/combiner. Approximately 3db per unit. If you using splitters, replace them with feed thru's (Barrel). This will improve your signal strength and might fix your problem.
