Anorexia is not just something you start and stop, I am a recovering anorexic, and for me, I thought I was eating, I reduced all my meals to once a day and still not in big portions not even realizing it and eventually food was out of the picture, it is an obsession not just something you wake up one day saying that you are going to be anorexic for a little while. It is a powerfull illness that takes control of a certain mind frame, it takes a lot of willpower to actually stay away from food, you have to be ill to do so. If you want to lose weight, not eating is not a way to turn, diet, excercise, eat healthy, some people go to extreme lengths when really if you follow a food guide properly you will lose the weight you need to. all the while still being able to eat foods you enjoy. Maybe you should consider meeting with a dietician. good luck

No. That's when the disease starts taking over. They say I just want to be x number of pounds and when they near it, the number goes down and it continues and continues. An anorexic will never be happy with her weight. I was anorexic and my "goal" weight started out at 100, then I was going to be happy if it were under 100, then my perfect weight became 90, then 85, then 80 and my lowest weight was 74, but that still wasn't good enough for me. I was finally hospitalized where they had to pump potassium back in so I wouldn't have a heart attack.

no. it's a disease that makes you believe your body will never be thin enough. If someone didn't eat till they reached a certain weight, it would be a crazy diet, but not get the official diagnosis of anorexia

No - if you want to reach a certain weight, thats called dieting. Anorexic ppl don't have an ideal weight, they are just not happy with whatever weight they are. Being anorexic isn't just about weight loss its about how you see yourself, and it causes internal problems as well as mental health problems.
