Nature's Miracle.

Get it at the pet store.

If you can put salt on it while it is still wet, do that. I mean a lot of salt - piles of it to soak up the fluid - then vaccuum when it is dry. If it is dry, I would consider rewetting it and trying the salt trick (this salt trick even works with nasty old bong water). Barring that there are some products on the market that you can use and some recommend covering the area with baking soda before vaccuming.

I will tell you what does not work: Febreze (and that is dangerous to animals too, btw) or ammonia products.

Peace!

PS - Yes! Nature's Miracle is the product at the pet store and that works great on pet urine smells - but I never had occassion to try it on spray odor.

Anything citris smelling will stop the spraying. (Orange or lime eetc.) Lavender oil also works well - just check that it won;t stain the area. I would also try squirting the cat with a water bottle when you see it spraying. it really works as a deterent.
Anything that smells like ammonia or bleach will only attract the cat. Desexing also stops most cats from spraying.

Is the smell outside or inside? If it's inside, they sell a product at the pet stores that will help eliminate the smell. If it's outside (e.g. on your front door), try spraying some diluted bleach on the surface.

Go to the pet store. They have a number of sprays designed specifically to do that.

Natures Miracle has a formula that is specially designed for cats. My customers swear by it. It's reasonably priced. Check your local pet store. And follow directions!
