If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

I have used the Proactive system for several months before without much results. I've also used multiple acne products with somewhat the same outcome. For me it was mostly an alergy to certain foods I was eating. So I suggest you change your diet and make sure you were not lactose intolerent as an infant. Also face masks should typicaly be used once a week. Check what is in it to make sure there are no harsh chemicals. Try an OATMEAL AND AVOCADO face mask. When you see oil on your skin re-apear use it again. Also because of what a face mask does do not put it on right after you use the Proactive system. Use it before or a few hours after.

No two ways about it: see a dermatologist. It's expensive, but a good one who knows what they're doing can virtually cure acne. I know because a doctor cured the adult acne I'd struggled with for twenty years. This was accomplished through the use of the proper antibiotics (a combination of pills and ointments). I haven't had a pimple in over a year. Definitely worth the price of admission.

First; are you using a moisturizer?! I know the kit for proactiv does not come with one! Which is why I always recommend Serious Skin Cares kit. It comes with everything you need and it's cheaper. Also, I alternate skin care regimes. When you have acne, a lot of times it gets that way because your skin does not exfoliate itself but it also does not moisturize itself. You can also get some Tea Tree Oil to help the zits go away to start. (sold in health food stores, it is FABULOUS) Serious Skin Care is sold on HSN. Definitely get a good moisturizer in the meantime.

Try acne free. Seems less harsh on the skin. I know that I am doing Proactiv and I have sensitive skin. Did you know that you can get a mild Proactiv that isn't strong. I found that out today.

I used to have problems with acne and proactive did NOT help. The best product I can recommend is clear.now
You can't get it in stores but you can order it from this website:
www.jewel.mychoices.biz
(just use the search field at the bottom right of the screen)

Carley's Clear & Smooth!!
Site: http://www.clearandsmoothskin.com
eBay: http://myworld.ebay.com/clearandsmooth/
Read their feedback or reviews but if the product doesn't work, you might want to try this..
Juliet's Clean & Smooth
Site: http://liporexin.com
eBay: http://myworld.ebay.com/fibersyn/
Carley's is better though and works a LOT better than Proactiv & Juliets!! I would recommend Carley's Clear & Smooth because it's CHEAP!! Many eBayer said the Carley one is better than Juliet's or Proactiv!! Try it, you won't be dissapointed!!
EDIT: Since you said that many product didn't help, I think it's maybe because it's in your blood. LOL!! Sorry, if it hurt your feeling! I think this works!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9514430024&refid=store
combine the pill with Carley's Clear & Smooth and it WILL work!!
GOOD LUCK!!!

See a dermatologist.
Until then try AcneFree. It's like Proactive but it didn't dry out my skin like everything else does and it cleared up my skin.

You might consider making a doctor appointment. The doctor can prescribe an antibiotic for you. They're taken on a daily basis, low dose antibiotics. This will help the bacteria on the inside. There's also external gels/creams/solutions the doctor can prescribe. Good Luck.

Have you seen a dermatologist yet? That is my first recommendation. My second is to get a nice, soft facial brush and brush your skin faithfully. Sounds weird, I know, but it has helped me out. But if you have severe acne, I really think you should see a dermatologist!!
Good luck and hang in there!
