put some warm, not hot water in the bath tub a few inches deep, leave a little warm water dripping from facet, have a few plastic bowls to dip water with,,,,, wet her down,,,,, shampoo,,,,, then use bowls to rinse, the dripping water often distracts them,,,, you just want enough water to do the job with, but not to scare them,,,
i use a washcloth to wash face and ears with, the baby wash clothes are great, but any old one will do,,,,,

Don't fill the tub with water but if you have a shower handle you can use, that is best. If the dog has sensitive skin, use cool water. Never use hot water. Avoid getting water in the ears and when washing the head area, point head downwards to keep water out of nostrils and take care even then about getting water in their nostrils. Use tearless puppy shampoo.
Rinse well. Bathe twice a month but not more unless directed to by a Vet or the dog gets really dirty. In that case, if it is surface, Pet stores sell "Puppy Wipes" and "Doggie Wipes" which are ph balanced for their skin and which will do a good surface cleansing job. If finances are an issue, you can use a damp cloth.

Well I also have a lab. When she was as small as your's is we would bathe her in the bathtub. But if you do that watch out there will be lots of hair in the tub hen the dog comes out.

I have never found a way to bathe my dog myself and not end up wet too. I bathe them in the bathtub after I climbed in naked and after I'm done with them I let them hop out and I take my shower. Otherwise, I need a complete change of clothes after bathing them as the water gets all over me.

Use the tub with luke warm water.
A lot of people will spend top dollar on doggie shampoos but I prefer Johnson's and Johnson's baby shampoo!
You can also consider going to a local "Dog Wash" where they have everything you need and you don't have to scrub your tub afterward.
Use a semi-wet wash cloth on her face. Clean and dry the inside of her ears well. Labs are prone to infections as they are water dogs and the trapped moisture causes issues.
Have fun!

As a dog bather, my advice is to use your tub but first get a shower connection to spray her with. You will use less water and it won't take as long as using a cup to pour water on her to rinse her. Only use a tearless shampoo on her face and head to keep from irritating her eyes. Rinse her very well or it could irritate her skin. A good conditioner for dogs will make her very soft. Fresh and Clean oatmeal is really good and smells great. You can also take her to a dog groomer to get it done.

i bath mine in the bathtub but he is only 6 weeks old. my parents bath their dogs in the tub as well and they are full grown. If it is warm out we take them out back and set up a big bathing tub there. have fun! and make sure you wear clothes you don't mind getting wet.

It depends how she feels about water. You dont want to scare her with it. It will just make things difficult. I would do it outside with a hose. If you put her in a bath tub, she might get scared that she is enclosed. My puppy did. Try outside. It should work ok.
