It could be any number of things, none of which any of us should diagnose over the internet! It is true that sometimes vomiting blood (haematemesis) can be mistaken for coughing it up (haemoptysis). Both of these can be potentially serious, but it depends on volume, how often, other symptoms, other lifestyle factors etc. If it is more than a little I would definitely go and see a doc urgently. If it is tiny I would personally wait and see one first thing tomorrow. But definitely dont ignore it.
