I think he is great. He learned from the great, late Larry Burkett and from his own downfall in life. He has been there done that. If you don't know he was a millionaire and broke prior to age 30! He dug himself out bankruptcy and is now on a mission to help anyone that wants help get out of debt.

He is against what everyone else does because he pays cash. Listen to commercials, everything is financed, including your groceries! And listen to the commericials that say "You DESERVE (car, house, etc)..." What do we really deserve?

Suze Orman has some good advice but says to keep your credit cards. If you are a drunk should you keep beer in your fridge? NO!! If you are in debt, should you keep what got you in debt (credit card) NO!

I think he is doing a great job and really helping my family out. Great easy plan to follow.

Yes I listen to him occasionally. His advice and opinions are not for everyone...only those who are willing to make SERIOUS sacrfices to achieve financial independence. If you're in debt, but you're not willing to turn off your cable, cell phones, drive a beat-up old car, and work a second job; then Ramsey's advice is not for you.

Personally I think he's ok, but keep in mind Ramsey's just retreading what Larry Burkett used to teach. Ramsey is just more entertaining than Burkett ever was.

Maybe he has a point. People refuse to listen to such wisdom and end up in a mess and looking for someone else to dig them out. Always the other guys fault, never theirs. People must take responsibility.

Dave doesn't have a program in my neighbourhood, but I think your correct. he's too far to the other direction. At least that's what I get from listening from others rant/rag about him.
