well the amount you will receive monthly will depend on the length of time you've worked, so if you haven't worked very much or very often, you won't receive very much, I don't know if there is a minimum amount
I do know it can take a pretty long time to get approved, it took me 4 years and about a ton of paperwork, I got turned down and appealed then re-filed again, had to get attorney, had to see all kinds of doctors, even though we had all the medical reports the judge stated that she chose not to believe them (and she said this in writing) I hope I never have to go through this again
My attorney said they delay the claims as long as possible, knowing that some people will die before they get approved.

I live in Alabama and I know a guy who's on disability. I honestly dont think he has ever worked in his life for more than a week at a time. Good luck though, it's nearly impossible to get disability here without an attorney and a long drawn out waiting period before they get you started.

You mean, social security disability? Or put a claim in on private disability insurance? It varies. Your best bet is to either 1. call the social security office or 2. talk to your hr department.

But the type of disability matters, and how much you get, well, that matters, too.

Call a workers comp lawyer and he can answer questions regarding a disabilty or you also contact someone about social security disabilty and they can help you as well.
