I would say tell him to give you chores for money..collecting enough of it and then tell him to buy an ipod....

go into all web site that have Ipods on sale, and keep showing it tohim every time you find one that is lower than the other or just go do some chores and make your dad see that you should get an Ipod because you will be using you're earned money for school..Happy birthday to you.. go bowling for a change on your bithday not drinking. have fun.

Write a list and give it to him and put ipod at the top and tell him they r in order of preference and keep pointing to the top one
