Fun to eat and so very good for you! Last week, I watched Martha Stewart demonstrate a very easy way to de-seed a pomegranate. She used a paring knife to cut slightly into the skin all the way around, and then broke the pomegranate in half (or thereabouts) with her hand. She then took a deep bowl, held the fruit seed-side down and took a long wooden spoon and smacked the back of the fruit repeatedly, she just kept whacking at it, and lo-and-behold, every single one of those little seeds fell right into the bowl. It was amazing! I can't wait to try it, my tree still has about six big pom's on it!

Oh, the chef who was with her just cut his pomegranate in half (making a bloody mess), but then did the same thing.

I tell you, that b**** annoys the crap out of me, but she really knows her stuff!

FUN! An easy and clean way to get the seeds out is to break up the pomegranate in a bowl of water. As you work the seeds out, the membrane will float to the top, the seeds to the bottom and your fingers won't get stained. Enjoy!

I love pomegranates. It is a Jewish tradition to eat a pomegranate at the New Year. Every year my brother and I change into clothes we don't mind getting dirty, grab a pomegranete and go to town. It is totally worth it if you don't mind getting a little messy- each seed bursts into your mouth!

Both. They are a pain the *** to peel and deseed to eat, but so worth it. And they are good for your health. Next time do this:

get all the seeds out of one of them, put them in a cup with lemon, salt, and some chili powder, oh man, those things are so good.

I love to sit and snack on them when I watch tv, but I rarely do because my fingers get that dingy red color on them.
Any good ideas on how to get that off?
