Since installing WinAntiviruse few months back, I've got tons of problems incl. slowing down the PC. I'm really frustrated, since yesterday monitor goes blank when clicking on media center, there's a sound, no picture.
So my questions is, when to use rec. disc? is it OK to use it now?
Please save me..Thanx a lot..

First...WinAntiVirus---This application is adware!!!
Second you Must read the reviews below of one of the best AntiSpyware software's manufacture "Sunbelt Softwares"(CounterSpy).

http://research.sunbelt-software.com/threatdisplay.aspx?name=WinAntiVirus%20Pro&threatid=44353

And theindependent Spyware Research Center

http://www.tenebril.com/src/info.php?id=4789515
(SpyCatcher WILL NOT HELP YOU!!!)

And third...You must :
Reinstall your Windows and all the applications with your recovery tools(CD's).Otherwise very soon you will freeze...at all.
How to do this just tell me what brand PC (configuration, too) you have and I will try to help, somehow.
If you think that these messages are helpful add me in you Skype-list and I think it will be more easy to explain you how to this operation.DON'T FORGET TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF(WHOA RE YOU AND WHY YOU WANT TO ADD MY NAME IN YOUR LIST)... WHEN ASKED FOR SKYPE-AUTHORIZATION!

I wouldn't recommend it, using the Recovery Disk will restore your system to the factory default - meaning ALL DATA on your system will be lost. Any pictures, files, programs, etc. you have added will be GONE.

If you're having problems, first try using the System Restore by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools

I would roll the system back to before you installed WinAntivirus. If you're looking for a good free antivirus program, goto www.download.com and download Antivirus Guard (AVG), it's free & works well.

As several responders have stated the Recovery disk will restore the computer the the factory new condition.

The slowness may be because you have two anti-virus programs running at the same time. Go into add/remove programs and uninstall one of them.

You can have two anti-spy-ware programs running but NOT two anti-virus programs.

Recovery disk brings your computer like the day you bought, but all programs you installed after that will be gone and all data you typed and saved and photos and music also will be gone. if that's OK you can use it now.
