No such thing as a dumb question!

I think that you pose an interesting question, however, I don't think it would be a good idea to put Saddam in power again. He's as mad as a cat locked in the dryer right now. Don't wanna be around if that's ever let loose!

No, the people that were against Saddam are already unleashed.

We would have been much better off if Bush just left everything alone. He's opened a Pandora's box that will have worldly consequences. We would have been better off making an alliance with Saddam.

Expect the violence to even get worse immediately after the US pulls out and continue for years to come.

Those people are radicals. They cannot be negotiated with. Their idologies are so devoted to their Muslem faith that they will not give up their cause.

At least Saddam had some control over the situation.

We can't put Saddam back in charge because he's about to swing by his neck. The question is moot.

The fighting going on right now is between followers of different interpretations of Islam... kind of like the theological debates between Evangelists, Catholics, and Jehovah's Witnesses. Except with guns and exploding devices. It started because we're there, but it won't end if another dictator takes power--it'll just simmer below the surface. If we leave, it'll be a bloodbath; more than it already is, anyway.

No! This would turn into a full fledged civil war. The Shiite hate Saddam with a passion. Since they represent the majority of the population, they would probably destroy thr Sunni, however other countries would jump in to help defend the sect of their choice.

Ah yes, give me secterian government!

The fighting in Iraq goes way past Sadam. There are factions of different people there that have tasted freedom, and basically what you have is a civil war going on between these factions, and the terrorists are keeping it stirred up. It is a dangerous place to be right now.

No. Most of them probably want us out, but are still glad not to have Saddam around.

Saddam was good at bluffing. I think he has lost any creditbility that he had with his people a long time ago. I doubt he'd last 5 min. on the outside. He'd be as dead as his sons.

they should remove all military from those countries & let them blow them selves up into millions of little pieces. They are never going to change - if anything its only going to get worse.
