If your cat does not smell good then it is a sign of a problem, probably dental. She probably has bad teeth and the infection is causing her saliva to stink and then she cleans herself and the odor is on her fur. Please do not wait, take her to the vet and have her checked. If she has a dental problem (and I'd bet she does), if not treated it can lead to bigger and more costly problems down the line, such as kidney and liver failure.
If you don't have the money, you can pay a little bit every month until it is paid off, or maybe your vet will let you work there to pay off your debt.
Please, I beg you, take your cat to the vet and forget about sprays, a spray won't fix the problem and that's what you need to do, you need to fix it, not cover it up.

SheaPet makes a shea butter and tea tree spray to promote healthy skin and fur.

It smells nice too, kind of minty since it has tea tree and rosemary.

It's 100% safe and natural and works really well! I used it on my Russian Blue because in the winter months his fur gets so dry. But as a result, he always smells nice and fresh.

Also, most products ment for human babies are alright to use on animals. But you should try to get something ment for pets just to be safe. And stay away from chemicals and anything that smells like it has alcohol in it as that will just drytheir skin out.

Most pet stores like PetSmart, Petcetra..etc will sell these products. It's basically just "doggy perfume" or "doggy cologne". It's usually in the aisle with the dog shampoo and conditioner.

I actually bought a bottle awhile back for my dog. It was pear flavored, and it smelled soooo good! Just make sure to test a small small amount of it first to see how your cat reacts!

Don't use a dog product on a cat - you can give a cat a bath, but it will probably fight it (most cats hate water). If the cat is not cleaning itself properly you may have to resort to the bath though. Petsmart and other pet stores have dry shampoos and wet shampoos especially for cats.
Also, cats clean themselves differently than dogs and tend to ingest products put on their skin so make sure it is labelled for cats not for dogs. Dog products (especially for external use) can be harmful to cats. It could also be the diet, and make sure the cat is eliminating properly and cleaning itself properly. When my cat stinks, its usually because he didnt clean himself properly and still has (yuck) feces stuck to his long fur in back that has to be removed :P I found a link to a diet supplement at petsmart that might work but is out of stock at the moment.

Take your cat to the vet first and get its diet evaluated. If everything checks out okay, use something gentle like baby shampoo.

Do NOT listen to the idiot who said to dump pinesol on your cat! That is animals abuse.

Your local petstore will have pet cologne, but I suggest a regular bath with a pet shampoo.

you can get a dry shampoo that you brush in from any pet store that usually helps the smell, also you should maybe try a different litter! Good luck
