I would likely find out how quickly I can see him wearing an orange jumpsuit and flip-flops. IOW, file charges and make sure your lawyer gets a guilty verdict. That guy needs to be taken off the streets.
DO NOT SEEK REVENGE. Seek justice.

Document everything, then go see a lawyer. many will offer free consultations which usually are for an hour. If you feel that the first hour isn't giving you enough info then see a different lawyer for their free hour. repeat as needed till you get enough info to see if you have any legal grounds. If get some biker friends to pay him a friendly visit. Or when all else fails there is always blackmail.

I would take him to the cleaners. Although he sounds like a real catch, I don't think he will be able to reimburse you through the legal system. The next best thing will be to charge his *** with everything you can including animal cruelty. He could see some jail time for that.

I WOULD THINK OF THE PERFECT REVENGE- IF I CAN GET BACK THE STUFF HE STOLE- OK. IF NOT -THE FUC* WITH IT. MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT I WOULD FEEL BETRAYED. I ALSO KNOW THAT IF HE DID IT TO ME, THEN HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ME, SO THERE AREN'T A LOT OF THINGS, MAYBE EVEN ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO TO MAKE HIM FEEL THE WAY HE MADE ME FEEL.
ON THE OTHER HAND- HE COMMITTED A CRIME-SO I COULD CALL THE POLICE.
THEN I WOULD TRY TO RECOVER AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE FROM THE SHOCK AND FROM THE PAIN. AND GO ON WITH MY LIFE.
I COULD ALSO TRY TO SUCCEED A LOT MORE THAN WHILE WE WERE TOGETHER, TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE THAT IS WAY BETTER LOOKING THAN HIM, AND TO BE A LOT HAPPIER. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT BACK ON HIM.

i would really hurt him because he did all that stuff to me, my family and friends. then if we had a good relationship i would really have to hurt him. i would kick him out on the street. with nothing on him but his skin i would burn his clothes. and pawn everything he got that is worth something. to get some of my money back.
then i would say i am not mad.
