The Bible is not the book one would want to use to govern, because each one interpets the Bible in their own way! and there are so many religions out there, it just would not work!

Your question is interesting.
I feel they are doing as fairly well to have a peaceful and free society.
In order to do this, certain laws need to be made. These laws often look just like morality laws from the various great religions of mankind.

well i wouldn't like it if they decided to start using the bible as the new guidelines for governing since i don't follow the bible. so i would not be thrilled.

the Bible says some repulsive things like stoning your teenager if he is rebellious
