a secret relationship is really really hard. but if you want to keep it a secret, then just don't tell anybody and don't make it obvious that you're going out with him. btw, why does everybody in the 4th grade hate him? it doesn't matter what they think! they are just little kids who aren't mature enough. plus, if they don't know him that well, then it doesn't matter what they think about him. what matters is what you think about him. if you like him, then go for it. don't let the haters stop you from going out with him.

Wait your only in 4th grade and your asking dating questions!.....anyway if you really like this guy than you shouldn't care what other people think. Ask him out, if he says not than at least you tried...if he says yes, well than you got yourself a man!

Tell him how you feel about him even if your fourth grade don't like him, there are not the ones who are going to go out with him, you are.

if you like him go for it..
if you aren't ready to admit to the entire fourth grade you like this boy then perhaps your not ready for a relationship
