my boyfriend and i have known each other for a year and a half. we have been dating for 7 months. he has been overseas the last 3 months of our relationship.. we have gotten ALOT closer in the past 3 months and he is coming home soon. we have talked about what it would be like to marry each other and he never gets scared when i bring up topics like where i would like to get married, how many kids i want to have .. etc. he actually puts in his opinions instead of running away. is this normal behaviour for men ready to marry, or is this just his way of making it obvious that he wants me around for awhile without intent to marry?

We have a lot in common. I'm engaged right now. I've been with my man for almost 6 years. He also works offshore. I think you have to give men a little bit more time. They want to make sure that you are the one. You should be patient. He is talking about marriage. So, he thinks very highly of you. You may be suprised. He could be thinking about popping the question soon. Good luck and be patient!! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

If a man's behavior is like this, you should be happy.Because he is very open for this kind of topic,he is not a type of guy that just for FLING! He is totally concern and sincere about you and your future for both of you.Marrying is not on the rush,it should always be plan ahead, you guy's should both stable first mentally and financially before taking a serious steps in life.

I think he may be thinking about the idea of marriage but he may not be ready to take the step. Keep doing what your doing, don't push the issue and see what happens, you never know, he could ask you when he gets home. Don't listen to the first guy up there. He's simply a moron.

I am guessing that it is because since he was overseas, have you ever heard, "What doesn't tear you apart makes you stronger"? He has probably been contemplating on the subject while overseas. Try to approach him steadily about it, instead of all out and such. He is also probably trying to tell you to wait till later into the relationship to think about marriage.

he isn't scared of thinking of a future with you which is good. Just take it one step at a time though because if you move too fast these things can easily run out of control and you wont be able to get back to where you are now. Just make sure you are both comfortable with the pace your at

Although he may be comfortable with the idea of marriage, it's up to him to be the man and propose. When he feels like the time is right he'll do it so just wait for it.

Enjoy your life together and don't get caught up in that kinda stuff. If you really love each other their is nothing wrong with you mutually bringing it up.
