Me and my cousin and some friends got arrested. They let the 3 go so its just me and my cousin. The 2 guns was my cousins but i said it was mine because he his over 18 and im 17. 1 was a starter gun and the other was a 22 revolver with 2 bullets. My cousins record is clean and also mine. I got court on the 19th of december. Me and my cousin have to different court. I think im gonna say the trth that its not mine will my cousin find out when he has his court. I got 4 counts and he got 2 counts.

If my cousin is convicted with a clean record what do you guys think they will give him and hes 24 years old?

I am 17 and what do you think they will give me?

~I'm having a hard time understanding your typing. From what I can make out, your cousin talked you into taking credit for the guns because you are younger, they wouldn't punish you as much. BS! You are close enough to 18 to be tried as an adult.
Even if you both have court at the same time, they will find out.
You didn't even say what the charges were, so I couldn't guess how long you'll be sitting in jail. I'm sure you'll get probation/parole out of it.
You could try coming clean, but I think you'd be frowned upon by the judge. I hope you learned your lesson. Good luck.~

Heh, heh...the shaft. thats what they'll give you. perhaps you haven't heard of the "misleading officers in their duty" statute. its made precisely for guys like you who take the rap and then decide.."naw...maybe not'. plus...lie about a felonly and now have another felony charge tacked on.
let me guess. You, your dimwit cousin or one of your pals were waving these things around being all gansta-ish and got jammed up right? in any case...one bullet, two bullets..it doesn't matter. plus...if you waved the starter pistol around it's not what you think...it's what the people who felt threatened thought...like it was a real gun perhaps.
So....not only will they light you up...but after that and saying they'll give you only 5 years instead of 8...but you have to give testimony against your cousin. Yeah. like sitting in the courtroom and pointing to him and saying "The guns were his and I lied". of course...now his attorney is going to attack your creditbility and say "Why should we believe you now when you just said you lied already once before?". And every head on the jury will turn and stare at you...hard. Including your cuz.
Will you get out of it? Maybe. Probation forever at the very least. This is going to be one fun ride for you my friend. Pay close attention because there are many lessons to be learned here. Lets hope one of the lessons doesn't deal with never picking up the bar of soap in the prison shower.

Depends on jurisdiction, and your actual counts or charges. At 17, you can always claim Older Influence. Here in NYC, u'd be screwed, at 16 your charged as an adult....plain and simple.

If you are considered juvenile, luck is on your side. If not, your path is on you. Speak with your court appointed, or retained attorney. Guns are for wussies, anyway. This is probably a good time to rethink your position on things.

Good luck.

Depends on the court and the circumstances. If you both have a clean record, you both "could" qualify for probation. I am assuming since different courts, you are through Juvenile Court, which they could potentially hold you until you are 21, depending on what charges you have and what level they are. Your cousin I am assuming has felony weapons charges depending on what level they charged him he could get many years in prison or qualify for probation. And yes, if you state that they were his, he could find out about it. Good-luck.

I'm sure you both will have the same punishment. Are you staying in Juvenile court, or are they binding you over to adult? it depends on what state you are in, for how long they put you in prison.

You should be asking your lawyer this question. If you do not have an attorney, you need to contact the court and make arrangements for one to be provided to you.
