I have been with my boyfriend for about 8 months. We have a fairly good relationship however his work etc keep him away from me often for weeks at a time. He knows how much this annoys me but everytime that I say we need to talk he just says that there isn't anything to talk about because he knows that all I want to do is fuss about us not spending time together. He thinks that I am just upset because I'm not getting my way and that everything can't always be about me. I'm really getting irritated because outside of this things are great but I need more from him. What do I do? I really don't want to break up with him

Tell him your not spending enough time with him and you really love him and you miss him.

Sometimes work can get in the way, but try looking at it like this: He does want to spend time with you(hints:8 months together) but everyone needs money to live. Everything cost money in this world. If he takes you out, it most likely cost him about 30 bucks! and that adds up quickly. My girlfriend lives about hour and half away and I see her when I don't work. I spend like $100 every time I go to see her. Really try not to get upset, I believe he is doing his best. The time you try and fuss about it could be more time spent together. I think breaking up is too much now, but if it is too much for you not seeing him weeks at a time, think about a few things. Do you love him(I mean really love him, like do you want to get married and live the rest of your lives together?) Are the times you do spend together special? I wish you the best of luck!

Sweetie, in my experience, most guys are like this. The minute you say " we need to talk", he's gonna be mad or out the door until you change your mind.
See if he will compromise. ( of course, you have to be willing to compromise at well.) Tell him you want to talk but you promise not to drag it out forever. Get a timer, set a time limit. Tell him you get to talk for 5 minutes ( or whatever ) uninterrupted then it's his turn. You get 2 min's for rebuttal as does he. Then it's all over in less than 15 minutes AND YOU CANNOT BRING IT UP AGAIN UNTIL NEXT TIME.
good luck with this one. Guys that don't talk are extremely frustrating to the girls who do!!

1) Does he leave town for weeks at a time or is he just not available for weeks at a time???
- If out of town then hey, he has to make a living...
- If just not available... another issue all together...
In this case I would immediately start thinking "PLAYER"... If I'm in town but not available.. I am with one of my other ladies... especially on the week ends..
- To not communicate and to turn it back on you "being whatever", is classic player-speak for I have things just the way I want them and I'm not going to be bothered with your problems.
2) I would go with my feelings on this one if I was you.
- good luck

Be supportive. If it is job that keeps you apart than, just try to understand that it is business and nothing personal. He probbly feels like crap too.
