If were the only life in this universe what is the purpose of stars that we cannot see? Our Sun/Star nourishes the planets in our solar system and provides us with life substaning warmth. "What is the purpose for the trillions of stars/suns out in the universe? Because or sun is just another star if you travel far enough away. PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU ANSWER.

Easy, there is no god independent of the human mind.

That's a very thoughtful question, why WOULD God create things we couldn't see...

It must be that God is our invention and not the other way around. If we were the only sentinent beings in the universe (because we were created in is image), then the universe wouldn't be so big.

Also, if we were created in God's image, why are there frogs? females? Why would any of us be different colors/races? Why wouldn't we ALL BE THE SAME? If there was only one truth, we would all know it and no one would have opposing beliefs.

A god or gods have been the invention of every primitive society in human history. At one point, the gods were just the unknown, then they told stories, in the Old Testament, he talked to a few of us, but mysteriously hasn't since.

Deeply religious people don't like to be challenged or see new truths, which is why the antihesis of God isn't the devil as written in the Bible, but science. There are still things that are mysteries, but in time, we'll sort them out too.

We do not necessarily understand the effects of those stars. Their gravitational pull make effect the placement of another star and so on. The universe pushes and pulls and works in harmony with itself. We can't know the effect of a dieing star billions of light years away because the death of that star hasn't effected us yet. As for micro-organisms well they serve a purpose. Whether acting like the worlds garbage collectors and cleaning up the earth or whatever they do. They have a function. I think this make the universe more astounding and God the great for it. It is ultimately all about Him and His glory.

The only way to consider this is to enlarge your perspective of God's creation. If God is all powerful, then it is possible he created our universe (including all life and matter which we haven't yet detected) for a purpose. In addition, consider that God may have created the laws that make our universe possible, which say that our universe is expanding. Don't think that because we are only just discovering things that they are outside of God's plan. God's plan must take into account human advancement. We are not outpacing God's vision for us. People who are concerned that science is overstepping its bounds have a lack of faith. God would not give us minds that could challenge his power UNLESS he wanted us to challenge him.

If there is life on other worlds (which is likely), then isn't it possible that God's plan encommpasses those other life forms as well? If God truly is the God of everything, then why do we insist on him only being concerned with humans? He would care about all life, matter, and energy. Do not trust entirely in the Bible; trust in your own feelings and experiences. Words are fallible, but personal experience can lead you to the truth.

Evolution has extra information compiled than the different proposed theory for cutting-side technology, this includes the belief of electromagnetism, susceptible nuclear forces, solid nuclear forces, etc Say that your fascinated interior the acceleration of gravity at a place the place the era of an trouble-free pendulum is say 100cm long in excatly 2 seconds. you could no longer test this to correctly discover out what its acceleration is, yet you have an intuitive theory of what the certainly result could look as though from the theoretical fee. Assuming that the pendulum bob is the strain of the string and the load of the bob, the displacement of the bob from the equil. place x=0 is sufficiently small so as that the bob undergoes merely a horizontal action. The y direction of action is then 0 in accordance to Newton's rules. subsequently there's no internet tension appearing interior the y direction. All of it somewhat is often concluded from what all of us understand in "theory." Tcos(x) - mg = tension Tcos(x) = mg T = mg/ cos(x) F = Tsin(x) F = mg(tan(x)) sin(x) ~ x and cos(x) ~ a million F ~ mg The approximations could be made assuming that the displacement of the bob is small. F = ma = md^2x/ dt^2 = mgx/ l x'' = gx/ l In physics you're allowed to apply deductive reasoning by using fact arithmetic is the device to describe certainty. All arithmetic ever does is advise a attainable mechanical attitude to looking out the place the answer comes from. you could evaluate that to evolution which in addition supplies a real looking clarification based on the information shown

We do not need to know all the answers of the universe. We should only care about what God has planned for us. Sure I think about why certian things exist, why we have stars, why we have certian bugs etc, but I know that God's creation is perfect, and He has a purpose for everything. What good is knowledge if you can't use it? Knowing the reason for a star billions of miles away isn't going to be helpful, I can't use that information. Knowing God's will and plan for me, and what my purpose in life is, is much more powerful of knowledge. =)

Back in the old days they thought stars were painted on the sky and the sky was stretched over the earth like canvas.

Absolute genius.

He created them for His pleasure, because He wanted to. He is God and the creator, He can pretty much do what He wants, when He wants, for whatever reason He wants. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His ways higher than our ways. It is typical of arrogant humans to think that everything in the universe was created for us. The universe revolves around God, not us.

The Universe in its entirety didn't come into being for "our purposes", nor our personal ambitions, nor can we neccesarily know everything.
I think its highly unlikely that we are the ONLY life in the Universe.

Well, like nature, there has to be a balance or it all falls apart, tis the perfection of the universe, so the things we can't see are just as important as the things we can.
