You will never see Dominicans wearing sandles. At night you should expect to wear long pants and a shirt if you are a guy. You will hardly ever see Dominicans in short pants in the streets. They dress up here every night and if a Dominican is not dressed properly a club will not admit them. Tourists they let get away looking like bums.
