I have an unbearably cute picture of my little one to send with this year's Christmas cards. Is it intrusive -- or bad in any way -- to send cards to my former in-laws? I'm not on great terms with the ex, but I adore his family. (I haven't had reason to speak to his grandparents in over a year. His mom sends me holiday and birthday cards. And I'm in pretty regular contact with my ex-sisters-in-law.)

Yes!!!! My former in-laws were that for 10+ years. Even though I have remarried and had 2 other children, they still get cards, letters, flowers, birth announcements and just about anything else. My ex-husbands family is still my family and will always be. Its wonderful for you to think of your former in-laws!!

Good Luck!!

It is Christmas time and grandparents love to see pictures of their grandchildren.. Do not deny them the pleasure of the photo.Since his mum still sends you cards because she probably wants to stay in contact with you since you have a child that is also their grandchild then yes send cards to your in-laws.

Send them the card, the child is still family, and the child needs to know he/she has other relatives no matter if divorced. For the childrens sake its good to try and keep the lines of communication open.

If his Mom sends you Holiday and brithday cards then of course it would be nice to send her a Christmas card.

If you had a good relationship with your ex-in-laws, I think you should. Even thought you and your ex arent together anymore, it doens't mean you shouldn't acknowlerdge their existince. Send a few cards and keep in touch.
