Because their scared ,and they don't got a army to defeat?I mean we need protection if all these bigwigs keep opening thier mouths,i'd put them all in the front lines.But thats just me.

Canada has it's own military and does quiet well. While the do not truelly make many of their own weapons systems and such other that the US no one has ever tried to invade them either. And the US lost every time that we tried. But Canadian forces do deploy and train as a NATO member nation.

In legal wars Canada is way ahead of the US WW 1(1914-1918), WW 2 ( 1939- 1945) Korea was a UN operation and we were there from the git -go. Vietnam was an invasion by the US to assist the dictator not to have an election as the Viet Mingh would win and so a civil war ensued. The US was eventually defeated. Iraq is an illegal war designed to profit certain individuals and Corporation, hence Canada would not get involved. In Afghanistan, Canada has lost more than the UK and % wise, more than the US. Actually we depend very little on the US, other than for the fact that we are each others largest trading partners. By the way The US imports more oil from Canada, than from any other nation. If on the other hand you don't want our help a**hole just say so and we would be quite willing to let the US clean up it's own mess.

Canada does not depend on the US for 'everything.' I will agree that there is a strong perception among Americans that the Canadians are not our best friends.

i think the perception of canada being reliant on America come from Canada's failure to support america when it needs it most.
