Yes. you can. The only thing you can't bring aboard are things like flammables, fireworks and guns. See the link, that's all that is listed. I mean look at the alternate scenario. You are shopping in the Bahamas and find a great rod that you buy. They'll let you bring that on board.

The regulations look like they may charge for over sized luggage items, but it is still a pretty small item even if long, so you might get away with that. But no charge if you take it as carry on luggage. The other thing that I'm sure you thought of is make sure the type of rod you own is good for the type of fishing you will be doing.

Yeah, most answers are after a quick couple of points. You are lucky if people slow down enough on here to actually know what your questions is. If they are making extra assumptions about that''s an added bonus.

with the current laws on terrorism and the overall loop that you are stuck in with having to buy almost all that you need on the ship you are not going to be able to do that. they are going to look at the hooks as a form of weopon and the pole as a weopon as well. because of the possibility of you hiding stuff that isnt supposed to be there in the cavities of the pole and reel.

Yeah, that's very likely allowed. It would probably depend utimately though on the individual cruise lines security policy.
