i cherish not only my life but that of all people. burdens are meant to be borne, but life is not a burden. life can be difficult at times and very hard to endure, but if each morning you can find one positive thing in your life and hold onto it throughout the day, you will find that life isn't a burden, but rather a joy.

This life is to be borne, but cherish all that you can.
As the buddhists say, "We live in a degenerate age." There will never be purity and perfection in this world, so we must bear the injustices and suffering.

I would have to say neither. Our lives here are meant to teach us something - it's like being away at school. It's meant to be fun, informative and with just the right amount of challenge, if you ask me. Cherished sounds too protective and borne does not sound like the fun it is supposed to be.
Peace!

While there are people that believe in an afterlife, no one knows for sure. That said, you should cherish the life you have for as long as you have it. If there isn't an afterlife, you're going to be very disappointed. Luckily, it would only be for a millisecond.

This life is a trial and whatever you do here will determind where you'll be. You do need to cheerish this life time b/c you will be judged. Cheerish it and use it wisely. Reach your potential and record in a journal or proceedings.

This life is what you make of it -- nothing more or less.
Since there's no evidence of any kind that god, heaven, hell, or any of the other superstitious, mythical constructs of fearful religions -- there's no reason to accept that there is anything more for any of us than this life.
This one is all you've got -- make the most of it.
'Cause when you're dead, that's it. No second chances.
