Christmas was never about jesus or christianity.

They just hijacked it...

I mean, what the hell does jesus or god have to do with chris cringle, trees in our homes, stockings, decorating your tree, or giving gifts?

It was a pagan holiday, not christian. Does that mean that celebrators of christmas are pagans? No.

I'm an Atheist. I celebrate christmas. It's part of our heritage, and there is nothing at all intrinsically holy about it...

All christmas is, is getting a tree, making it pretty, putting gifts under it for your friends and family, and opening them when the day comes... No jesus, No god, No religion...

I'm an atheist and I stopped sending cards or buying gifts years ago. I do not decorate my house and I gave away all my Christmas decorations. Relief!
I take friends out or give them gifts when I feel like it, not because it's a holiday or expected. I don't want any gifts. I'm still trying to get rid of stuff.
To celebrate the season, I cook and bake more and like the festive atmosphere of the holiday, but it's not attached to any spiritual belief or superstition.

I love the lights and some of the decorations. Actually, the tree and lights are a rather pagan tradition. Read any book on the Winter Solstice
A very, very non-believer.
Happy Yule!
or Happy Holidays!

Yes, I celebrate Christmas: not the birth of Jesus, but Santa Claus! It's a good time of year, and it's even better when there are kids around. I mean, when you're young, even when you're a Christian, your parents tell you Santa Claus is coming to give you presents! That's not a Christian tradition, you know! It's pagan in origin.

Nah. To much work.
Although Christmas is commercial holiday now.
The only thing I do is take this small pine tree I have(It's about a foot tall) and decorate it.
My family does the whole present thing too.

Yes. I also buy gifts and send cards to loved ones. I believe it is possible to be an Atheist and join in the festivities. I believe a holiday is for everyone who wishes to celebrate it.

So, like the Christians converting a pagan holiday into theirs, I have converted Christmas to celebrate "Peace on Earth Day".

Lots of the customs are similar.

I'm not atheist, but I'm Pagan. I celebrate Christmas since my family does and because it's a fun time of year. It's also about the same time as Yule- one of the Sabbats. Christmas is originally derived from a Pagan holiday anyways, so I basically celebrate it as Yule.

I have been "doing" Christmas less and less over the past few years in favor of HumanLight. But that doesn't mean that everyone should. There are many secular aspects of Christmas for non-Christians to enjoy.
