Government Issue - not General Infantry. Everyone in the military is considered a GI. No matter if your in the Army, Air Force, Navy or Marines. In the Army your considered a Soldier (grunt) , Air Force - Airman (zoomie) , Navy - Sailor (squid) and Marines - Marine (jarhead).
