Someone just cleaned the VCR, and I don't know what they did. Whenever I put in a tape, it pops right back out. Any ideas, please?

I'm somewhat surprised that people still have VCRs.

Anyway, check the tape to make sure that its flap is all the way closed. Sometimes if they protrude at all, the VCR will keep spitting it back out.

After you put in a tape, push in down. I had the same problem a while ago with one of my VCRs.

You have one of two problems.
Either you eject slider (the part where the tape goes in) is out of time (gearing on the side) or the idler assembly is slipping.
Neither has anything to do with a cleaning..unless the slider was taken out of the machine.
