my dad used to spend about $200 to $300 on us. I have a 12 year old and this year i an spending about $250 on him.

I think that depends upon whether you are giving any "investment" gifts like a TV, camera or iPOD. If not, I think about $300 is good.

I dont beleive in buying junk for my kids i spent $300 on an ipod for them

i think that gift cards are best for teens unless they requested something specifically. that way they can shop for exactly they want.
try using the amex gift card.
$60-$100 is more than enough.

well my parents spend around $800.00 on me for x-mas, but it depends on wat u can aford
