Firstly, Dont take any notice of anyone who tries to tell you your not thinking str8. Only you know your inner emotions and feelings. I have a good mate whose going through this change at the moment. Its not something someone just wakes upto one morning and thinks "i wana be a woman or man". Its there with you all the time and if you try and ignore it, it just tears away at you bit by bit. My mate tried everything first....talking about his feelings, Changing to a more understanding partner, EVEN COUNSELLING. But the bottom line was, he was a woman trapped in a male body and needed out.
You need to find a decent place to have this done and dont always go for the cheapest. Check out hospitals that preform this operation, TALK to the doctors involved. Find out EVERYTHING that it involves and dont leave ANY stone unturned. My mate is having his op done in this country (England) but i dont know wether England is better than Thiland or elsewhere. Your doctor will be able to put you intouch with the right people but if he/she isnt listening to you either then just go to a hospital and ask in there. Im sure they will be able to help you.
My mate is ALREADY a much happier person and im sure my mate will be even MORE content once he is the full woman he knows he really is.
It isnt a Mental Health problem to think in this way. And anyone who doesnt know someone whose been through this or who going through this will never understand. We are all human beings and we ALL have many different beliefs, cultures, religions, LIVES. Just let everyone live their lives how it makes THEM happy.
