Recently a relationship ended and the guy told me that men are different than women because they are able to let things go and move forward quickly. Is this true or is this way of covering up the disappointment?

it varies according to the "value" of the person and relationship you are losing. and yeah, that is a way of covering up true feelings, after all, we have to be a man about it.

Not necessarily!

Men and women are different in that when a guy is going through a break up he will hang out with his boys and play ball or something like that, that will keep his mind off it.

Women however spend hours on the phone talking about it to their grilfriends, watching love stories, listening to love music etc etc. This just causes women to relive the whole thing which delays the healing process.

Also that guys feelings for you may not have been as strong as your feelings for him so he will obviously get over the break up faster.

No is not true women and men are the same. I had that problem too . my boy friend and broke up and my boy can;t move on until 5 months later and he start dating again. Guys don't just let things go.

I think both. Men are "wired" differently than women and while they feel disappoinment, they do move on more quickly because they have less emotional investment in a relationship. It sucks but that's the way it is.

I believe it is true. Men are "visual" women are "mental". (The way their brains work).

The women I see moving on quicker are those who were screwing around on their hubbys or bfs first.

Women are romantics, men will take you, a can of beer and the remote all in 3 seconds.

I think so. When me and my first girlfriend broke up 5 years ago, I thought I'd be in pain forever. I finally started dating again after a year. But recently I found out that she still hasn't moved on completely.

It seems like it, but things aren't always what they seem. It really does depend on the man. However, it is interesting to note that women seem to get along better in life alone than men do.
