Try zaandam, you can get there in the trains (which runs 24 hrs),

much better to stay just outside than in the centre I think. The centre is a bit grotty to be honest.

Try this golden tulip place, it is actually right NEXT to the station ( almost part of the station). Very romantic, and a lot cheaper than the city centre. It's actually a business hotel that is quiet at the weekend so they offer special rates for weekends.

Good beds too!! ps they speak brilliant english.

those do not even spring to concepts while i think of of Amsterdam. i think of of the museums (Van Gogh, Rembrandt domicile, Stedelijk, and so on) Anne Frank domicile, the canals, the form, and lots greater. to respond to your question further i think of all of us is thinking of the espresso shops and purple easy District because of the fact they are interior the information lots recently. in case you prefer to negate the unfavorable press looks like the tourism board (or regardless of they are called there) desires to launch a counter campaign.

Try hostelworld.com. If you want an almost luxurious stay try the Marriot, it's not so expensive at certain times of year.
