By that are you asking if I am a born-again, adopted child of God and follower of Christ? To that my answer is YES.

However, in defense of the first two answerers, I would have to agree that you should be more specific. As a Coast Guard veteran I can tell you that saving lives is what they do very well. Others are saved from hunger or crime. I know the second answerer knew exactly what you meant. But others may ask "saved from what?" Your job as a christian is to know "from what".

Everyone is born into this world destined for the eternal place of torment and flames, referred to as Hell. This is because we are all sinners by nature and our sins must be punished. God's plan to save sinners from Hell was to sacrifice His only biological Son, Jesus Christ, putting the punishment we deserve on Him instead. People who put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are "saved" from the punishment of their sins.

So the question might be best worded, "Are you saved from the eternal punishment of sins?" or simply "Are you saved from Hell?"
Or better yet, "Have you asked Jesus Christ to save you from...."

I will be when God will show himself to me. I use to believe than after all my prayers being ignored and all the times I said show me a sign or show yourself to me, nothing happened. So this is what I came up with...

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 17:20 For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Matthew 21:21 I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

I asked, I loved, I prayed for help and for Him. He never came and I refuse now to fall for "God" ever again.
