Okay..I'm on birth control and I take it every single day at the same time each day, and I never miss a dose. Can you tell me the chances of me getting pregnet if I have sex with out a condom but I'm completley faithful to my birth control?

I'm looking for serious questions and people with experience also.

Well it tells you right there on the package ... it should be something like 98.9 or 99.999 % chance of getting pregnant ... the pill works great - if it's taken as it's suppose to be ... I've been on the pill now for 2 years ... I've had one or two scares because I've missed my pill but taken it the very next morning - no missed periods - just nerves & feelings ... if you don't want to use condoms - make sure he's not ejaculating inside of you ... the chances are pretty slim if you do that ... !

I have a question for you, are you overweight?, If so the effectiveness of the pills decreases, more so the heavier you are. My best friend who is on the heavy side got pregnant while on the pill, her doctor told her after she got the positive result that weight effects the pill and other forms of birth control should been used. Certain medications, and I've also heard grapefruit in large quantities can also effect how well it protects against pregnancy.

Other than that, the pill works pretty good, I can't remember the exact percentage for how it works but it is quite high. (Some people still do end up knocked up though, even with proper use). However it will not protect you from stds, so unless your in a steady relationship and both partners have been tested I wouldn't rely on the pill alone.

Less than 3%...I was on birth control and I took it everyday...Not even at the same time...I was on the pill and I didn't use a condom or the pull out method and I never got pregnant....However, there are some medicines out there that can weaken the pill...For instance, if you happen to be on an anti-biotic, you could very well end up pregnant during that time. Other than that, the pill is extremely effective.

Nothing is fool proof except abstinent. I wouldn't be afraid to having sex without a condom if you are on BC pills. Sometimes PG happens but so does it with condoms (they break). We have sex almost every day and do not use condoms. She hasn't gotten pregnant yet and we have been married 8 yrs.

less than 1% i'm sure. that's fda required. however most girls think they can't get pregnant close to their period or on their period which is not true. don't trust that.
