According to the bible God created the stars,the sun (which is really a star) and seasons,he created night and day in order for God to observe this he had 2 be on on the earth to experience night or simply shadow time and seasons. I'm an atheist, so I'm nnot sure. But I think they'd say that God is in another universe (Paradise?).

you must remember that he is omnipotent. he could be in heaven, but have the view of somebody down on earth in order to expiernce day/night. also he didn't have to expirence it to know that it was there. he's god for crying out loud.
