According to the bible God created the stars,the sun (which is really a star) and seasons,he created night and day in order for God to observe this he had 2 be on on the earth to experience night or simply shadow time and seasons. Because the sun always shining and if the earth was void and without form/shape "What was he standing on? "Was he just floating? or "Was he under the water? PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU ANSWER.

He was on a spaceship. He used a gazilion mhz computer to generate the model of earth and sun. The super high tech computer would simulate the position of the sun in relation to earth to make night, day and seasons. Once he got it right, he fired his super solar system creator mega beam on this part of the universe. Zap! our solar system appeared out of nothing. So here we are!
