A key point with me has to be the way he carries and maintains himself. Because plain and simple it starts with him he must be able to love himself before he says I love you to there mate. Thats just what I think.

Respect! If he respects you the answer to everything else will fall in place. Also make sure everything else is mutual (that he feels the same way you do). Be honest with each other and don't choose him because of what everyone thinks, choose him because you want to be with him.
