as far as casual dating and hooking up? very.
still have not found 'the one",...but the search has been fun, and it gives you a chance to meet folks you might otherwise not have met.

met my wife online... waaaay back in 1997.
We chatted online for 2-3 months, then on the phone for about a month and decided to meet in person.
Once we met in person, we were together every weekend and sometimes during the week for a day or two. We lived 5 hours apart. We always stayed in touch online, when not with eachother in person.
After the long distance relationship of a couple of months, I moved to be with her, and we lived together for over 8 years and were just married this past March.

Well I am been very lucky...And I did it just for a joke my profile with my best friend and I meet so many gorgeous guys and good guys But let me tell you I didn't never respond to just any one...I have done Investigation job in the past and I can tel right away what kind the people they are just the way a person write and...I don't really recommend it...I am not dating any one I just want to meet them once and sometimes we get to out more then that but never get in bed with them...I knew what i was doing...So careful please...

I'm married now but I did go onto a lot of personals site while I was single. I found it was hard to really connect with people - you'd find you have a lot in common with them and then meet them and feel absolutely no spark. It was tricky and didn't end up working for me.

Married my wife after meeting her here on Yahoo Personals. Happy as a lark with her and greatful to Yahoo for giving me a chance to meet such a beautiful and wonderful woman.
It's a great safe way to meet someone.

you would have to define successful. I have had more good relationships with people I met online than offline. And yes I have met and dated these people, it wasn't just an online thing.

I havent been because the men always seem to have a crazy, stackerish side to them and they scare me. But I am sure it has worked out with others before. Good luck in all you do!
