It's most likely a sarcoma(sp). It is completely harmless, just a little buildup of fatty tissue. Just to be sure you should have your vet look at it next time you're there(no need for a special trip). They will most likely lance it (stick a needle in it) and see if any fluid comes out and what color it is. This is completely common. Just keep an eye on it and if it has any significant changes like growing take her to the vet sooner. Don't worry, it'll be ok, she's lucky to have a concerned owner.

Cancer isn't hard and round. In cancer, the abnormal cells spread all over the place, and if there is a lump, the edges are soft.
She could have a cyst, which is like a balloon full of pus or water, or a benign tumor. Just keep an eye on it. It won't be a problem unless it starts growing.

I would take her to the vet, so they can look at it. And don't worry too much yet, because it could just be a fatty lump. It is very common for dogs to get fatty lumps. But you should still take her in so they can look at it, and see if it might be cancer, and needs to be removed.

this could properly be not something, whether i might even have the vet biospy it. this could properly be a variety of lymphoma and that i on the same time as i'm hoping that may not the case, that's terrific to get an early prognosis for a greater helpful possibility for scientific care. Lymphoma often shows indicators interior the front of the neck/chest section, so i think of it's going to be super, whether that's good you will the vet as that's greater helpful to err on the careful edge.

Get it checked out!!!!!!!!!!!!! a friend of mine has 5 great danes and one had the same thing only on her back. This vet said it was just a easilly treated skin problem and would be fine. I suggest you get a second opinion though because it turned out It was a rare form of cancer and she passed away almost a day later:( Well good luck. I hope she gets better!

I don't want to scare you but you need to take her to the vet as soon as possible. Our dalmation had the same thing in her neck and it turned out to be cancer. She was put on chemo treatments but I guess she was too old to fight......but I do know if caught soon enough, they can survive. Get her to the vet!! It could just be an infected gland but better safe then sorry

Is she a Lab?? If she is, Lab's are known for getting Tumors on their skin and in their bodies. There's not much that you can do for her but you still want to get her to a vet ASAP!
Hope this helps and good luck!!

You should probably take her to a vet because they may need to remove it if there is something wrong with it... it all depends- my dog gets warts on her head so that might be what it is but i wouldn't take my chances..

my dog has had that same thing recently. we took her to the vet and they said that it was just a fat cell and that she was overweight. but it is either a fatty tissue or cancer. you might want to get it checked out.
